When the Cyclops Snot at Five Below rang up at $3, I was relieved it wasn't $5. Likewise with the Unicorn Poop. (Both products are Scented Creature Crud items from The Concoction Factory.) What, then, is the psychology of gag gift pricing? At what price point does a joke lose some of its luster and start to feel, well, slimy?

On a separate note, I can confirm that the Cyclops Snot is lumpy. The lumps are visible in this photo only because the package is positioned against bright light.
