An Evergreen at the Curb

A discarded Christmas tree.

This Christmas tree once was decked with ornaments (including a golden snitch) and topped with an origami star. The tree stopped taking water and dried out. The needles fell like sprinkles. The living room looks empty without it. The farm from whence it came raised hundreds of trees just like this one--cut down, cherished, and now discarded.
